Creative Psychotherapeutic Therapist

As a qualified MBACP creative psychotherapeutic therapist, my intention is to walk alongside you with warmth, empathy, and genuine care.
I specialise in trauma-informed practice, neurodiversity, and special educational needs, bringing a depth of understanding to our work together.
Within a compassionate and non-judgemental space, you’ll be gently supported to explore your inner world, emotional landscape, and the life you navigate - both in and beyond the therapy room.

About me

About Kathryn

Hello, I’m Kathryn Webb - a creative, person-centred psychotherapeutic therapist based in Essex and East London, offering session online, and CPD face to face.

With over 20 years’ experience in education and emotional wellbeing, I work with children, young people, adults, families, and schools to nurture growth, resilience, and connection.

As a BACP registered psychotherapeutic therapist, I’m deeply committed to inclusive, trauma-informed practice. I have a passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals and empowering each person to move towards their fullest self.

I offer therapeutic work in schools, online sessions via Zoom, and consultations for parents and educators around emotional and social needs. My practice is enriched by previous voluntary work with respected charities in the community.

In addition, I provide tailored training and psychoeducation for school staff and communities - because when we support the whole village, we foster a culture of healing, understanding, and wellbeing for all.

SEND support for parents & adults

SEND support for parents & adults

I offer gentle, 50-minute therapy sessions for both children and adults, held online via Zoom. My integrative and creative approach allows us to explore emotions safely and at your pace.

Alongside therapeutic support, I weave in elements of psychoeducation to deepen understanding and empower you to carry insights beyond the therapy space - into everyday life.

With experience working with Place2Be, schools across Redbridge, and local Essex charities, I bring trusted, compassionate care that is both accessible and rooted in real-world experience.

I offer compassionate, informed support to parents of children with SEND, blending therapeutic insight with practical guidance to help nurture stronger, more connected family relationships.

Through gentle, child-centred work, I support children in understanding and expressing their emotional needs, while fostering a sense of safety and connection.

Together, we build a collaborative path toward deeper understanding, resilience, and confidence across the family network.

I also provide reflective consultations for adults, particularly those exploring their own neurodivergent identity - helping develop supportive strategies for everyday life and the workplace with empathy and care.

Talking and Creative therapy for adults & children

Common Mental Health hurdles

Emotional challenges such as anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, and overwhelm can feel heavy and lonely - but you are not alone in carrying them.
Within a calm, compassionate space, I invite you to gently explore what you’re feeling. Together, we’ll begin to make sense of your experiences, nurturing insight, resilience, and healing at a pace that feels safe for you.

Common life problems

Life can bring moments of strain - through relationships, loss, work pressures, identity shifts, or simply feeling stuck. In our therapy space, there’s room for all of it. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s unfolding, creating space for understanding, balance, and meaningful, lasting change.

Special needs, diagnosed, undiagnosed or wondering

Do you have a need, a diagnosis, are waiting for one - or simply feel you’d benefit from additional support or adjustments in the therapy space? You are welcome here, just as you are. With my background as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator and specialist in trauma and neurodiversity, I bring a wealth of understanding and care. Whether your needs are named or not, together we can explore how to meet yourself with compassion, right where you are.

Trauma informed

Your pain is uniquely yours - and I won’t pretend to know exactly how it feels. But I will be alongside you, holding the space as we gently navigate it together. Healing from emotional wounds takes time, tenderness, and support. With care and commitment, we can face even the hardest paths. You don’t have to walk them alone.

Inner child work and reviving the child within

Many of us carry the echoes of our childhood selves - wounded by early relationships, family dynamics, or past experiences - into our adult lives. In therapy, we gently meet that inner child with compassion and curiosity. Together, we can begin the process of healing, reconnecting with parts of you that may have been hidden or forgotten. Through creativity and care, you can start to welcome that inner child back into daily life - feeling more whole, playful, and seen.

We can do this in a fun and curious way using a variety of means, activities - and at times if you are up for it - including fun experiential homework!

Creative therapies

This is your space, and you're free to bring whatever feels important into it. While talking is always welcome, we can also gently explore creative approaches - if and when it feels right for you. These might include art materials, music, imagery, or therapeutic tools like cards and visuals. Creativity can offer new ways of expression and insight, but it’s always an invitation, never an expectation.

We’ll go at your pace, working in the way that best supports your comfort and growth.

Therapeutic approaches

In our work together, I draw from a rich blend of approaches - offering the empathy and presence of Person-Centred Therapy, the awareness-building of Gestalt, and the insight of Transactional Analysis to understand patterns and relationships.
We may also explore practical steps forward through Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and use gentle coaching techniques to support your growth and motivation.
Each session is thoughtfully tailored to your unique journey - meeting you where you are, with care, curiosity, and purpose

“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.”
